Petition on Expedited Arbitration

Dear President Renfroe,

On behalf of the rank and file membership of the NALC, we respectfully submit this petition to express our collective position regarding expedited arbitration following the recent rejection of the tentative agreement by a vote of 63,680 to 26,304.

As we move forward, we stand united in our support of continuing to work under the current 2019-2023 collective bargaining agreement. We urge that arbitration efforts focus exclusively on the following critical issues:

   1. Addressing the Pay Table : It is imperative to secure fair and competitive wages that reflect the essential services letter carriers provide.

   2. Eliminating the CCA Classification: We advocate for a direct hire to Part-Time Flexible (PTF) status, streamlining the workforce and promoting stability and equity within our ranks.

These priorities are not only vital to the well-being of our members but also to the broader mission of preserving the Postal Service’s ability to provide consistent and reliable First-Class service. It is increasingly clear that poverty wages and precarious employment classifications undermine our capacity to fulfill this mission.

We appreciate your leadership and remain committed to working together to achieve a fair and just resolution through the arbitration process.

Sincerely,

The Rank and File of NALC
